Whether you are interested in berthing, onsite facilities or fancy a look at the different boatbuilding projects underway in the workshops, the SYH Open Weekend from 26th – 27th October is the perfect opportunity to explore the site, meet the team and see what is on offer.
Visitors are welcome to walk the pontoons in the marina, watch the range of cranes and hoists in operation or peruse the SYH modern chandlery and Classic Marine (the onsite chandlery for classic yachts). SYH’s spacious workshops will be open all weekend, providing the opportunity to have a closer look at the contemporary and classic yachts undergoing refit, renovation and maintenance work.
Onsite businesses will be open and on-hand to talk through projects, products or advice in their specialist areas. Marine electronics experts Seapower Marine will once again have a Raymarine roadshow trailer at SYH for visitors to interact with.
Oliver Ballam commented, “The Open Weekend is the perfect opportunity to test out some of the latest Raymarine equipment and chat to the team about specific requirements, whether it be a small maintenance issue or a large-scale project. We always have products on display in our SYH showroom and encourage customers to come and have a look anytime.”
Running concurrently with the Clarke & Carter brokerage Yacht Fair (25th – 27th October), the SYH Open Weekend is also the ideal time to look around the site if you are interested in a career in the marine industry.
