Suffolk Yacht Harbour: a 550 berth marina with access at all states of the tide
The leading independent marina on the east coast, Suffolk Yacht Harbour (SYH) is a hub for cruising, racing and boat maintenance. As well as multi-faceted workshops, two chandleries and 11 marine businesses onsite, SYH has the largest hoist capacity from Bridlington in Yorkshire to the Solent. Based in Levington, on the River Orwell in Suffolk, SYH offers a friendly ‘one-stop-shop’ for all your boating needs.

Susquehanna emerges after three years
Swan 43 Susquehanna has been a refit resident at SYH for the past three years. She recently came out of the workshop, which was a fantastic moment for the SYH team and her owner.
From the team in the yard:
“The SYH team has been working hard on the extensive refit and restoration of Susquehanna. She has undergone a wide range of work inside the SYH workshop including updating her deck layout, galley, heads and electric panel.
We rebuilt her internal keel matrix, took out all her joinery and bulkheads, rebuilding where necessary, varnished and re-fitted out the hull.
Having resprayed the superstructure, we manufactured new toe rails, rebuilt the rudder and put in new windows and hatches.
We re-plumbed the entire yacht and she had a new engine fitted by onsite business French Marine. Another onsite business, Seapower Marine, has rewired the whole yacht.” …Read More

Founded in 1967, Suffolk Yacht Harbour has evolved from flooded farmland to a thriving hub for local and visiting yachtsmen.
The site was originally developed so owners could reach their boats dry-footed instead of using a dinghy. Over the years, SYH has transformed into one of the premier marinas in the UK.

Area of outstanding natural beauty
The wildlife-rich estuary of the River Orwell forms part of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The nearby mudflats and salt marshes are a haven for wading and migrating birds. Picturesque walking routes take in the river landscape and surrounding countryside.
The Location
Situated on the River Orwell at Levington, SYH is two miles from the A14 between Felixstowe and Ipswich. The marina is accessible at all states of the tide.
