Discover SYH

Founded in 1967, Suffolk Yacht Harbour has evolved from flooded farmland to a thriving hub for local and visiting yachtsmen.

The site was originally developed so owners could reach their boats dry-footed instead of using a dinghy.  Over the years, SYH has transformed into one of the premier marinas in the UK.

The Environment

SYH is committed to helping preserve local habitats and minimise its impact on the wider environment.  Through continued research and investment, SYH is gradually fulfilling its ever-evolving environmental plan.

The Culture

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at SYH whether you are a long-standing berth holder or a new visitor.  A balance of experience and youth makes up the SYH team, who always go above and beyond to ensure customers are looked after.

Area of outstanding natural beauty

The wildlife-rich estuary of the River Orwell forms part of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).  The nearby mudflats and salt marshes are a haven for wading and migrating birds.  Picturesque walking routes take in the river landscape and surrounding countryside.

The Location

Situated on the River Orwell at Levington,  SYH is two miles from the A14 between Felixstowe and Ipswich.  The marina is accessible at all states of the tide.
