New slipway policy

Slipway signboardA new notice setting out rules which should help to reduce congestion in the area and so cause less inconvenience to berth holders and other marina users has been put in place at the top of the new slipway (near the berthing master’s cabin).

In addition, barrier gates have been installed at the old slipway, which will be closed at evenings and weekends to reduce congestion and nuisance to West Harbour berth holders.

Slipway barrierAlthough these gates will prevent the unauthorised launching of small speedboats etc they will not interfere with the use of dinghies stored in the area for boats on moorings. There is enough space to manoeuvre a yacht tender under the barrier.
