Laura: Work on the hull of this pretty gaff cutter, built in 1910 and so celebrating her centenary this year, is complete. Her stem has been renewed and she is now looking a picture following topsides repainting and antifouling.
Laura was converted to sloop rig in the 1950s and is now being returned to her original status. She is waiting the installation of new mast, spars, sails and bowsprit in preparation for her centenary season.
Gudgeon: The new extended transom is really taking shape, with the new deck structure nearing completion, and planking of the extended stern making impressive progress.
Samurai: New in the workshop this month is this wooden Buchanan design, which was built in Italy in 1966. A traditional one tonner, she is in for painting, varnishing, deck and cabin repairs.
Croix des Gardes: This French classic yacht is outside the workshop, minus her keel and rudder, which have been removed for the latest stage of her repair and refit.
Columbine: Also outside the workshop is this Leisure 29 from the 1970s, being prepared for a topsides respray.
Chameleon: The complete restoration of this Knud Reimers designed classic from the 1950s is a true labour of love.
Other work in progress includes the installation of a number of bowthrusters. We are increasingly retrofitting these. If anyone is interested in having one added to their boat, we can offer wide experience and competitive pricing.
