The radar scanner which was on the top of the office building has been displaced by the current demolition project, but it is still working – now on a steel pole.

“We have to keep it operational throughout,” explained Jonathan Dyke, SYH managing director. The scanner belongs to Ipswich Port Authority, and monitors the river (with the help of a camera, also on the structure) for ABP.

Once the new office building is complete, it will return to its familiar position on the roof.
