Many of the boats which have been in the workshop over the past month or two are now complete and making way for new work. It’s a busy time of year and if you contact us now about repairs we may not be able to start work straight away – please bear with us.

Workshop September '13


Texa: This X441 was looking sadly faded after a few years’ cruising in the Mediterranean sun. She has been repainted with blue Awlgrip, with X-Yachts trademark three white stripes, plus boot-top and coveline reinstated, and looks like new. Areas of her teak decking have also been refastened.

May ’13 in the workshop

Green PepperGreen Pepper: This Westerly 33 has been resprayed green, using single-pack Jotun paint. This was chosen because the hull already had a single-pack covering, with which a two-pack treatment like Awlgrip would have been incompatible. The result is impressive, and this treatment represents a considerable cost saving compared with Awlgrip.
